This Privacy Policy explains how the BestBite Food app ("App"), provided by Germany Feng ("we," "us," or "Company"), collects, uses, and protects your information.
BestBite uses your account information, profile city, recommendations, comments, photos, likes, bookmarks, and blocked-user settings to run the App and keep your experience connected to your account. When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive basic account details (such as your name and email) to create and secure your account.
We use your information to operate the App, display your content and profile, power features like recommendations and search, maintain safety and moderation, and respond to support requests. We do not sell your personal information.
The Nearby feature uses your device location only to show food recommendations near you. Your location is never shown to other users and is not stored on our servers. You can disable location access at any time in your device settings.
Recommendations, comments, and photos you post are visible to other users as part of the BestBite community. Public recommendations and comments may remain visible as community content even if your account is deleted, unless removal is required by law.
To keep the community safe, we store reports and blocked-user settings so we can review flagged content and act on it. We may remove content or limit account access when content violates our Terms of Use or harms the community.
You can sign out or delete your account at any time from within the App. Deleting your account removes your account-linked data, subject to the note above regarding public community content and any retention required by law.
We use trusted third-party providers, including Google Firebase, for authentication, hosting, and data storage. These providers process data on our behalf and are subject to their own privacy and security practices.
BestBite is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes, and your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
